Westchester CA Real Estate
What We Do
Two Davis’ are better than one.
Do you feel like the process of finding
a home is like playing a game of ‘memory’? With so many
different cards, it’s not easy to try to remember every single one
on your own, and the thought that you’re not the only one looking
can be stressful.
We believe that finding a home
shouldn’t be filled with the kind of panic or pressure the Real
Estate business is often known for. Buyers should be confident that
they’re investing their time wisely, and feel secure that they have
the time they need to make the right decision. Sellers then can rest
assured that with a confident buyer, they are getting what they
deserve in return – call it home matchmaking.
You’ll have access to both of us
- Laura and Jack - two award winning brokers who are straight up and
will treat you like real people. To us, communication is key, and we
are always available for your questions or concerns.
Feeling ignored by your broker? Or
worse, do you feel like they’re doing you a favor when they take
your call? With us, it won’t ever be like that. In the rare
instance you can’t reach Laura, call Jack. Or are you looking for
Jack and he’s not around? Call Laura. One of us will always be
around for you.
Personal attention is a term
that’s thrown around by many Realtors, but we truly believe in it.
Whether you’re looking for a starter home, a second home, or a home
for your LMU or Otis student, we will treat you as the center of
attention. Like any good matchmaker, we’re not there to be the
center of attention – we’re here to let you make your own
decision.
About Us
Wine, Chocolate and Real Estate
Laura and Jack Davis are married, make
a great Real Estate team, and share the same comfort – wine and
chocolate. We know that we all have a comfort spot, and it’s this
kind of information that we like to know about our clients.
Personality plays a big part in the
type of home you want. It’s as clear as wanting to be able to see
the ocean, or as open-ended as wanting ‘fun and quiet’. Whatever
your needs, we will give them as much importance as your budget. We
are aware it’s not solely a numbers game, although working out the
best deal is always on our mind.
30 years of combined real estate
experience in Westchester has made the two of us a regular fixture in
the area. We are raising our children here, and are members of the
local YMCA, American Youth Soccer Association (AYSO), Del Rey
American Little League (DRALL), and Streetscape. Our knowledge of
the neighborhoods is deeply rooted, and taking a single drive with us
will hopefully make you feel like part of the community. So give us
a call for a consultation - we’ll be happy to talk to you.
The Process
Put your trust in two agents in the top
2% who have also been awarded the title of International Presidents
Elite for 7 years running.
For Buyers and Renters
Not only do we know what’s on the
market, we even know what’s soon coming onto the market, and what
is predicted in the way of mortgage rate changes. It’s this kind
of connection we have to the information out there, that can benefit
you. You know you have questions already, and the more you look, the
more questions you’ll have. That’s OK – we’re here to answer
them, or take the necessary steps to solve them for you.
Just by looking at this website, you
can start to get to know your future neighborhood. Make a list of
what you’re looking for, what you want from us, and share it with
us.
or Sellers and Owners
We know you’re busy. So we stay out
of your hair unless it’s absolutely necessary. But we do ask you
to trust our eye. We know what buyers are looking for, and it’s
the attention to the little things that can make your property that
much more enticing.
We didn’t get into this business to
be seen and heard. It’s your property that should be seen. It’s
that bid you’ve been waiting for that should be heard. We’re
ready to make that happen for you.
The Market
The Westchester Advantage
It’s surprising that you can still
find affordable homes in Westchester, but be warned – these deals
are not going to last forever.
Westchester offers incredible value in
terms of living space, education, transportation, and leisure.
Families will find the best public schools in the district and close
proximity to the beaches and marina irresistible. College students
will feel right at home with both Loyola Marymount University and
Otis College of Art and Design nearby. And wherever you work, easy access to
the freeways and Los Angeles International Airport will be to your
advantage.
The market is about to become more
competitive as more recent college graduates and young families start
to settle into the area. It’s clear what the advantages of living
in a low traffic, conveniently located neighborhood are - full access
to all the best that Los Angeles has to offer, with an extra layer of
privacy. Whether you are buying, selling, or renting, Westchester is
fertile ground for the Real Estate Market.
Family Priorities
Education
We understand how much providing a good
education for your children matters, and we’re proud to announce
that Loyola Marymount University has announced a partnership program
with the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and the
following schools in our coverage area:
Cowan Ave.
Paseo Del Rey
Westport Heights
Loyola Village
Orville Wright
Westchester High
Each school is also on the verge of
voting to become part of LAUSD’s new Innovation Division
(I-Division) concept. This program would localize the decision
making for curriculum, policy, and budget, and is a hot topic among
all residents. We’re following it closely and are happy to talk
about it with you.
We can also advise you on private
schools in the area:
Westchester Lutheran School
St. Anastasia School
Visitation School
Westside Neighborhood School
A strong education institution can
often be the backbone of a neighborhood, and certainly an important
factor in your choice if you have a young family. We are very
familiar with all the schools in the area, and are prepared to answer
any questions you might have.
We will find you homes near good
schools in Westchester. Once you move in, join the WPEF (Westchester
Parent Education Foundation) and stay in the loop with the progress
of the schools in the area. Remember – participation brings
progress.
Our Own Experience
We live here, and we love it. We’re
happy to tell you why.
Recently, we had some Loyola Marymount
Students move into a house right across the street from us. Not only
did they come to visit and introduce themselves, but they also
brought over a gift. We can’t always expect that level of
neighborly behavior from anyone, but many will agree with us that the
student population of Westchester is some of the classiest around.
If you are a Loyola Marymount or Otis
student looking for housing in Westchester, we can help you find your
home for the next few years. Don’t worry – we don’t expect a
gift, but we hope your classmates have set a good example for own
neighbor relations.
